Battenhurst Barn is set in the picturesque countryside of East Sussex close to the
Kent border. It can be found along a country road between Stonegate and Burwash.
Burwash is home to Rudyard Kipling's house Batemans and is itself a very pretty
Wealden village. It has an excellent local village shop open 7 days a week until 8pm
for everyday needs. There is also an excellent butchers, post office, newsagents, teashop, art gallery, antique
shops and three pubs! For a greater selection of shops, restaurants, cinemas
and theatre the delightful spa town of Tunbridge Wells is only 20 minutes drive away.
For beach lovers, the south coast is not far. Within 30 minutes are the seaside
resorts of Hastings, Pevensey, Bexhill and Eastbourne. Camber Sands and its
wonderful sandy beach is only about 3/4 hour away.
Other local towns of interest include Battle, Rye and Tunbridge Wells to name a few.
And for shopaholics there is also Bluewater Shopping Centre located just off the M25.
So whatever your fancy there is always something to experience and enjoy that
will make you want to return again and again.
